What Farming and Enterprise Look Like in Action.

In many low-income countries, farming is most common on a small, household scale. Farmers work hard but still struggle to meet their families’ daily needs with only a few cows or a small plot of land. They lack product volume to access fair markets, new industry tools, or training.

That’s where our partners step in! They provide livestock, climate-smart training, links to better market opportunities, and access to farming cooperatives. With support from Tearfund donors, farmers are equipped to grow a sustainable income and lift themselves out of poverty.

As seen in the video, our partner Yugashakthi has helped smallholder dairy farmers increase their earnings from $20 to $150 a month! And this is just one example of transformation from around the world.

Empowering farmers across the Pacific

We’re seeing transformational change for farming families in vulnerable and remote communities through sustainable farming practices and enterprise training. Our partners in Sri Lanka, Ethiopia, the Philippines, Vanuatu and the Solomon Islands are leading development in their regions with culturally relevant, climate smart solutions.
