Ensuring survivors of abuse have access to counselling is one thing we can do today to tackle sexual exploitation and modern slavery. In the years to come, the effects of your donation will be seen in the healing stories of the women and children who HOPE Trust journeys with, and the successful removal of perpetrators from communities.

 

Before our partnership with HOPE Trust and Kerin, most people we worked with didn’t get any counselling. But now that we work with HOPE Trust, all our clients are able to get this support.

All of the victims come back as different people. Kerin has also been invaluable in getting victim impact statements which help with prosecutions. Often our case outcomes are based on how well the victim is able to share. Kerin and HOPE Trust are doing incredible work.

Due to their remote location, the national shortage of counsellors and the stigma around sexual abuse, these girls hadn’t had any opportunities to share their trauma and begin to heal. But because of people like you, HOPE Trust can show up for them.
