This wonderful event will begin with a mini-documentary followed by speakers who will share about the defining moment somebody changed their life forever. During this intimate and engaging time, you will discover how their futures were shaped by the actions of another and learn how you can be that someone who can transform someone else’s life. This inspiring event will tug on your heartstrings as you are drawn into these fascinating, life-giving stories.

You’ll meet Joyce and Danny who were both sponsored children in the Philippines.

Noel Pabiona, the Director of Compassion’s programme in the Philippines, will also share about his work on the ground (via video) and how child sponsorship is changing children’s lives for the better.

In support of Child Sponsorship
My Life Was Changed will be held in support of Tearfund’s child sponsorship work, which aims to see children set free from poverty in Jesus’s name. Sponsoring a child is a powerful and effective way to help change the life of a child living in poverty. Empowered by the local church, sponsorship can open up a future a child can usually only dream about. Sponsorship provides a place where children receive spiritual encouragement and teaching, nutritional support, medical assistance, and emotional and social nurturing. As the church pours into children, their dreams and aspirations come to life and the chains of poverty begin to break. With good health, education, confidence, and faith in Christ, sponsored children are armed to create a better future for themselves.
Tearfund is committed to providing a safe environment for all who attend our events. We comply fully with all health measures put in place in response to the pandemic. Events on a Friday or Saturday night will be ticketed to allow for this.
