Meet the Kiwi organisation and the local heroes on the frontlines working to expose human trafficking in the Pacific Islands.

The Mum of  four, has worked with everyone from ISIS wives in Iraq, to people suffering from famine and drought, to families living in the world’s largest refugee camps. 

Kiwi doctor Himali McInnes on Ethiopia’s famine, Tearfund aiming to raise $750,000 to help. “What I saw was confronting. I felt a deep sense of shame I knew nothing about this.”

To celebrate Mother’s Day, Tearfund asked female humanitarian photographers around the world, to share their favourite empowering image and story of a mother who left a lasting impression on them.
