Hear Lillian's remarkable story

Lillian Mugisha knows firsthand how sponsorship can help change the course of a child’s life. Growing up in Uganda, she experienced deep poverty, loss and hardship. At nine, she joined Compassion’s local church-based child development programme.

With the encouragement and support of her sponsor and her local church, Lillian was able to continue her education and earn a degree in Mass Communication. Today, Lillian is an inspiring speaker with a powerful story of faith and the lasting impact of sponsorship. She works for Compassion Uganda, welcoming and guiding people who travel to meet the children they support.

If it was not for the intervention of Compassion, I think I would be another added problem for my country.
