Whatever your skills and talents, we would love you to join our team of advocates here in New Zealand. Whether you want to fundraise, volunteer at events, support Tearfund in your local church or join others to learn about poverty and injustice you will be helping to bring God-given transformation to where it is needed most.
How does it work?
There are so many ways you can join us in the work of ending extreme poverty. Take a look at some of the things you can get involved in and decide what fires you up! However you choose to lend a hand, rest assured you’ll make a lasting difference to the lives of people who need it most, around the world.
Causes — Tearfund works in four main areas which we call causes Modern Slavery, Disasters and Conflict, Child Development and Farming and Enterprise. You can choose to support Tearfund’s work across all four causes or focus on one that you are particularly passionate about.
LEARN — Take some time to learn about some of the issues that relate to each of the four causes. Explore and engage with the resources provided. Join some of the other learning opportunities on offer then share what you have learnt with your friends and networks. ACT — consider organising a fundraiser, doing a presentation in your local church or small group, become a participant in a Tearfund campaign, volunteer to help at an event, run a gift for life stall, commit to getting two children sponsored, become a regular donor, book a Tearfund speaker. PRAY — As you learn about Tearfund’s partners and the work they are undertaking around the world begin to pray for the work and the partnerships with vulnerable communities that are bringing lasting transformation to peoples lives.
