A grassroots climate initiative in Fiji is transforming food security and women’s empowerment in vulnerable communities. The Climate Smart Gardening (CSG) project, in partnership with Tearfund New Zealand, is helping up to 2000 people across Fiji’s west and central divisions.

Research released by Tearfund shows Otago is among the regions around New Zealand most willing to forego chocolate found to be unethically sourced. 58% of respondents from Otago said they would avoid buying chocolate with ties to child labour, and instead seek alternatives with more transparent supply chains.
