A valuable part of TEAR Fund's work is the input of advocates and office volunteers. If you live in New Zealand, are passionate about serving the poor and have time available, contact us to discuss how you can be involved in this dynamic and rewarding ministry. All that is required is a willing heart. Advocates are partners of TEAR Fund’s ministry. They help to promote, support and organise our programmes in their local communities, churches, small groups, youth groups and at events. Our aim is to have advocates and representatives from every region and church in this country. By becoming an advocate you reach out to the poor and oppressed through practical expressions of love. You also meet like-minded people, concerned about social justice. You gain in confidence and increase your skills base as you promote our ministry. Advocating with TEAR Fund is fun, flexible and rewarding, enabling you to use your time and talent to change the world.
- Helping out at events We know you are busy, that is why you decide on the level of commitment you are comfortable with, and the areas in which you would like to be involved. There will never be any pressure to do more than you have time for. We will provide you all the necessary support, resources, ideas and training. If you are passionate about serving the poor and oppressed as an advocate, and; I would love to hear from you. I am Beth Harper, Advocate Manager.
